The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Warriors Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of personalities, and a exciting storyline including divine entities, evil spirits, and sinister influences growing in influence within the city.

Heads-up: Key plot points for the third episode of this adventure follow below.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and introduced the premier party of characters who will split off from the main group to embark on their separate journey, distinct from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team features Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Schemers, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

As described by the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.

At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the actions of the latest installment demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with the enemy group.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his own means, entering the hidden lair, attacking the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.

The antagonist then paid off his liabilities and fled to a secure base in the remote area, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each member has a specific drive to exit the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, wants retribution.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the region and advises that it is a dangerous location.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their position as important members in the influential clan could help the team reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, Teor vowed a life debt to The cleric for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city too risky:

  • Thimble and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.

This means them few options but to head to Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.

What’s Next?

Based on the latest episode’s post-show segment, we learn that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Seekers and Schemers parties.

Audiences can expect finding out which characters will be assigned to which table in the story’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
